The prestigious National Film Awards 2019 took place in New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan today. The awards at the prestigious ceremony was presented to the winners by Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu in the presence of Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting. Present at the ceremony, to receive the honors were Bollywood celebrities Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Surekha Sikri and others.

Actors Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana won big at the National Film Awards, having won the Best actor award for their films Uri: The Surgical Strike and AndhaDhun respectively. Akshay Kumar’s PadMan won an award for Best Film on Other Social Issues category. The Best Hindi Film has been awarded to AndhaDhun, whereas the Best Director has been awarded to Aditya Dhar for Uri: The Surgical Strike. Take a look at the entire winners' list.
